A row house, 1 of 16 originally designed to house textile factory workers in the 19th century, on a private courtyard in Lille (France) was renovated to become shared student accommodation. Each house, 3 storeys high plus a cellar, has a plot footprint of 16m2.
The brief was to create two bedrooms, each with their own en-suite shower rooms and study areas and a common living space, suitable for 2 students or 2 young professionals to share.
NB: – The Covid lockdowns in France at the time have meant that the photgraphic appointments were delayed and the new tenants moved in before another appointment was possible so the “after” photos are those taken by the owners without any styling.
